Katy perry finally talks about her divorce

 

It's been just about a year since Katy Perry and Russell Brand's divorce was finalized, and the 28-year-old songstress is finally ready to talk about it.
Perry opened up and addressed the divorce at the ASCAP "I Create Music" Expo in Hollywood. She was asked about her songs "Wide Awake" and "Part Of Me," which were added to deluxe versions of her album Teenage Dream and seem to take aim at her failed marriage.
"It's a very tiny elephant...It's like a little Tchotchke now," she told The Hollywood Reporter in reference to her divorce. "The Big D--you can say it."Though Katy and Russell seemed to be the perfect couple, Brand filed for divorce in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. By July 2012, their divorce was finalized.
Though Katy is just now opening up about her divorce, she moved on long ago and has had an on and off relationship with singer John Mayer. In a February interview with Howard Stern, Brand was asked his feelings on Katy's new relationship.

"Doesn't she know that he's a worse womanizer than you?" Stern asked.
"Worse or better, depending on how you view it," Russell said jokingly.

Multiple sources claim Katy and John split again in March, but the duo seem to be keeping things on the down low.

"It was a very private relationship going in," Mayer told Ellen Degeneres in an interview. "It was a private relationship during and it's a private relationship still."
